I understand the ideas of periodization and tapering. I am trying to make a full s&c program for MMA. The problem im having is the two aspects of power and conditioning being opposites. For aconditioning you start with cardiac output -> aerobic endurance -> lactic threshold work -> lactic power -> lactic capacity -> alactic intervals. For power you go hypertrophy -> strength -> speed -> power.
What I dont understand is how to combine the two. Should I run power and conditioning blocks alongside each other? that seems conterproductive. Would you alternate
