What is Jake Shields drinking?

Quite often during the countdown show Jake Shields was shown with what looks like a takeaway Coffee, and in the locker room before the fight he was also drinking the same looking drink.

Does anyone know exactly what sort of Coffee is he drinking and is it beneficial prior to fighting kind of like a pre work out drink?

I don't know what he was drinking, but I got bad experience with coffee before competition
That might be completely different for others though

I always do a large iced coffee before training/sparring. There have been a lot of studies showing the benefit of caffeine pre workout.

Caffeine is as good of an ergogenic aid as any, although it is banned by many associations. I can't believe Nevada State Athletic Commission allowed it. Pacquiao complained before the Margarito fight; one of his crew saw Margarito drinking coffee.
