ive heard fruit uses different processes to digest and it should only be eaten on its own. so is that bullshit or real because a like to put a banana in my post workout drink but i dont want it interfering with the other nutrients i consume
Your body does not know the difference between fruit or other carbohydrates...in the end, they are all CHO. A very fibrous meal will slow gastric emptying and digestion as will a high fat meal. Your banana will not make much of a difference but a better source may be a simple carb such as gatorade which empties quickly....basically. I eat a banana and go for some gatorade powder...and then eat a full meal 30min later.
